a visit to Folicello winery in Italy!

Our co-founder Misch recently visited Italy and was able to make a trip to Folicello – a favorite wine producer of ours! 🍇

Some brief facts about Folicello:

  • Started by Antonella & Marco Folicello, est. 1980
  • Castelfranco Emilia (right next to Modena), Emilia-Romagna
  • Family business
  • Daughters Federica & Irene grew up at the farm and now help run winery – they gave Misch a private tour of the property!
  • Rocky limestone soil
  • Biodynamic, certified Organic, zero-zero
  • Traditional Italian countryside wines

Being familiar with the source of anything we carry @monsoonmrkt is very important and special, so spending time at a family-run, biodynamic farm near Bologna was an amazing experience. Check out this little video of the winery from Misch’s visit to the Motherland as well as some film photos below.
